The three phases of development for New Mexico Indie Film Collaborative.

 

Phase 1, is to offer free educational workshops, this will increase our brand awareness and build relationships with New Mexico based filmmakers. Past and Future Workshops.

· Business of Film (7 weeks, 2 hours on-line and 2 hours in person) *

· Business of Film (16 hours Saturday & Sunday) *

· The Essential Financial Management for Film (8 Hours in person) *

· Connecting Films with Audiences (4 Weeks 3 hours on-line 3 hours in person) *

· Film Festival Prep (4 hours) *

· Business Plans and Risk Mitigation for Filmmakers (8 Hours in Person) *

· Writing to Your Assets (4 Hours in Person) *

· Grants and Fiscal Agents (8 Hours in Person)

Phase 2, is legitimizing Filmmakers as an investable business. Future Workshops

· Filing Articles of Incorporation

· Employee vs Independent Contractor

· Understanding the Loan Process and Credit

· Packaging Projects Properly, dealing with Producers Reps and Sales Agents

· Investable verses Non-investable Films

 

Phase 3, Building and Coordinating the implementation of a Film Incubator.

· Transition from Slated and WeFunder to a New Mexico based and funded Film Incubator.

· Create a slate of investable projects.

· Advocate for a Southern New Mexico Sound Stage and Editing facilities.

· Create a Film Flipper Workshop with transitions to proper funding.
